The cat's ears perk up when Shinjiro approaches, and it meows again, a bit less loudly. It moves slowly (either from hesitance or just plain discomfort), but while it initially takes a step back when the large stranger approaches, it then wades a step or two forward.
Apparently, it's a pretty friendly cat, because after reaching its nose out to sniff, it proceeds to nuzzle the guy's hand just a little.]
