Well, almost! Asem didn't actually kill his mentor. It's more that he got reckless, his mentor intervened to get him out of a tight spot, and took the hit in his place.

Terra technically didn't either, since it was Xehanort who kind of... yeah. :(

Right. It's been shy of two years since I played Birth by Sleep, so my memory's a little rusty.

Nah, he's good. It happened a year before his current canon point. He's coping by taking on his mentor's legacy.
