Yeah, yeah, she...she was something alright. The best sister in the world one could possibly wish for. She was strong where I was not.

You seem to view a lot of things like art, don't you? Like seeing a painting in a museum- you weren't the one who painted it, but you still like it anyways, i you get my drift?

Yes. I like art. You can capture many things with it, especially things that disappear.

[Leo made an excited noise, fluttering his hands a little]

Such as - photographs! A wonderful invention! They capture real life better than any painting, for it takes a cut out of real life itself, and hands it to you on paper. It is also instant!

Fleeting moments and stuff like that, right...?

[There's an amused sort of quirk to his mouth.]

Oh, you haven't seen a digital camera before? That invention shows the photo you just took and allows you to change it or discard it immediately before you print it, you know.

Digital...? Hmm, but why would you want to change or discard it? Even if the photograph is blurred, or unpleasant, it is still a snapshot of the vibrancy that is life.

[Leo sniffs]

I dislike posed photographs anyway. They're fake.

Because people want them to be perfect, I guess.

[And he shrugs at that.]

Really? I don't know, I like them because at least they get everyone into the picture...what if one person turns away or blinks, though? That would be unfair to the person not to get represented in the photo, I think. Posing eliminates that.

Posing eliminates the sincerity of it. If you pose, you force smiles, you force the closeness with your friends of family - no. Candid photos reveal all, and are the best ones. The end. It is law. Perfection is not for mortals.

Perfect yet imperfect. I do not understand or comprehend humanity's will or passion, yet I am willing to learn. A true Perfect God would be able to sink into the imperfect chaos that is humanity, while still retaining their divinity.
