Ahh Hinoto-Ri. City of lights, questionable wards, the 13th Hour and Personas.

SCENARIO 1
Well it's been a hell of a ride so far, but you've not found yourself somehow testing one of Q's vehicles.


'Do try to bring it back in one piece' he said. What are all these buttons again?! Did you read the manual?...

SCENARIO 2
We hope you arrived in warm clothing because if not you'll sure be in for a surprise!



Hinoto-Ri is covered in snow! First you show up in a strange new place and now you're freezing cold. Maybe it's just a dream? But...you remember the man who said you were here as a special guest...don't you? Is this the city you're supposed to save?

[[OOC - Welcome to the test post! Don't worry too much about Persona stats or your levels here, just come out and make up a scenario about what they are doing. Try out your potentials and interact with the city around you! We'll supply some NPCs once in a while when you least expect it (after all have to test those out too, right?)]]

[An Oni she unfortunately can't see. She takes the hand but notices his look and glances in the same direction. There's nothing there...]

Are you sure? That was a pretty bad fall.

Y-yeah.

[ He backs a step away - less from her and more from what's behind her. ]

Um, do you [ he finally looks at her again ] know if there are any shrines nearby?

Yes, actually... there's one a few blocks away. Did you get lost?

[And is he sure he's not hurt somehow? He's still acting very out of it, almost like he was trying to get away from someone. But there's still no one else in sight.]

[ Wait. Wait wait wait, he needs to act natural. Maybe if they're quiet, she can show him the shrine before the Oni catches up, and everything will be okay. ]

I just - showed up here. [ He almost says 'transferred' but that's not quite right, is it? Not if that dream was anything to go by... ]

Oh, I see.

[It doesn't make him running around so quickly to find a shrine make any more sense but... maybe he's just really religious?]

I can show you the way there if you'd like? I actually stop by pretty often.

[ He manages a shaky smile, nodding his head gratefully. ]

[ And whoops he looked down the road again. ]

Okay then, follow me!

But figuring that out can wait, probably. She starts off at a brisk pace, deciding against grabbing his hand. That's a bit too forward for someone she's not actually friends with yet.]

[ And follow her he does, though not without glancing over his shoulder before they round the next corner... ]

[ They're lucky, though. The Oni misses the road they turned on and stomps on by. But ... it'd still be safer in the shrine. Maybe there he could get his bearings, and she could explain to him a little more about this place... He's been a lot of places before, but this place is completely unfamiliar. ]

[okay, maybe it's rude but now she has to ask. She's too curious not to. They're approaching the corner before the shrine steps will come into sight when she speaks up].

...You don't have to answer if it's too nosy, but is there someone following you? You keep looking back like you're worried about something.

{ Oh... she noticed. Takashi blinks but then he quickly smiles and shakes his head. ]

Oh - no. It's nothing. This is just a pretty strange place.

[That is still suspicious. But she can agree with him, at least.]

I can't deny that. Between different worlds and demons it's not easy to get used to.

Demons?

[ Wait, what does she know about those? She hadn't been able to see the Oni...

Was she some sort of exorcist, then? ]

You haven't met any yet?

[Clearly it's not what Takashi is thinking of, or there's something else going on.] There are a lot of demons living in the city. Most of them are pretty normal... for demons, anyway... but there are vicious ones that only come out during the 13th Hour and want to eat people.

Nope, that sounds exactly like yokai. Then why hadn't she seen --? Wait, what is she talking about? ]

[...Oh boy.]

You really are new. [She laughs, but not in a mean way.] I'll explain what I can, but let's get to the shrine first. There's a good bench to rest on there.

... [ He blinks at her but then nods once. ] Sure.

[ And he'll... just follow Minako, though - not without looking over his shoulder one more time. ]

[Well then, let's get to the shrine. And to the bench which has a lot of memories for her.

When they get there, she'll explain what she can about Personas, Philemon, other worlds, demons and the 13th Hour. She probably calls it the Dark Hour a few times. But he's welcome to interrupt her whenever he wants.]

[ Natsume listens quietly, nodding as she goes along. He has a few sticking points, though. But he addresses the most important one first. ]

So... these demons. Can everyone see them?

Hm? Well... I'd guess so. Unless they know how to turn invisible.

[That would be a little weird, actually. Invisible demons all around.]

I see.

[ Then... what did he encounter before? Well, he puts on a smile for her. ]

I'm still a little confused about personas, but thank you for explaining.

Don't worry. It'll make more sense once you've summoned yours.

[oh...] I'm Minako Arisato, by the way.

I'm sure. [ He blinks - oh, oh yeah. Introductions. Right. ]

Ah, I'm Takashi Natsume.

So, why were you looking for a shrine, anyway?

[ Crap, he needs to think of an excuse now. ]

Um.. shrines are normally safe from demons. I thought - um... I thought I saw one earlier...

[ That's... close enough, right? He's not totally obvious that he's not telly the total truth, right? ]

I see... Well, I'm not sure if that's true here, but the demons that are around during the day aren't going to really hurt you. ...Some can be pretty annoying, though.

[Or annoying and cute. Like the Jack clans...]
