TEST DRIVE MEME - LATE APRIL/MAY EDITION

Ahh Hinoto-Ri. City of lights, questionable Wards, the 13th Hour and Personas. A city that requires your aid in saving it.

SCENARIO 1: GOLDEN WEEK

Tied to the trees and parts of the houses are a bunch of fish-like kites. It turns Hinoto-Ri's battle=-ravage buildings into something a little more beautiful. By now, the air outside is comfortable to walk with a small shirt.

The booths in the Scorpio ward are busy trying to sell you their trinkets and crops. Will you get a mask? Will you buy and outfit? Will you just grab a little something to eat?

SCENARIO 2: Q'S CAR Q'S CAR THE SCENARIO FOR ALL AGES
Well it's been a hell of a ride so far, but you've now found yourself somehow testing one of Q's vehicles.

'Oh, and do try to bring it back in one piece' he said. What are all these buttons again?!

SCENARIO 3: CHERRY BLOSSOMS


By now all of the cheery trees in Hinoto-Ri are in full bloom. And what a beautiful sight it is! The smell is heavenly and couples and families hurry to the park to be able to secure a place under one of them to be able to enjoy a picnic together.

What a perfect time to arrive in the city!

SCENARIO 4: AN ENEMY APPROACHES! COMMAND?!
13th hour. Although technically the 25th of each day, it is the time when this world seems to change, the entire city turning a shade of dark red, demons coming out, buildings shifting and dangers lurking at every corner.

But it's your job to make this safer. Just be careful of what you run into...



...this is rather confusing. But you've learned not to think that something you see is exactly as it might be. It could be far more dangerous and deadly than it lets on...

SCENARIO 5: THIS IS JUST AN ARRIVAL PROMPT
You've arrived into Hinoto-Ri! And wow, the weather is warming right now. Like an early hot breeze in spring. At least it makes you feel more at ease...unless you came here prepared for terrible weather. Sorry! Maybe if you can find someone who knows exactly what is happening, you'll be able to comfirm that it wasn't just a dream? Remember the man who said you were here as a special guest! This the city you're supposed to save, so let's find out more about it!

[Shiki had hoped to just take a routine trip to the fabric store and back, but the hooded figure lurking nearby set a flag off in her head, both in suspicion and recognition. Adjusting the basket of fabric over her arm, she peers at Xion from afar a little ways behind the nearest street corner, face scrunching in confusion when her suspicions are confirmed; that's Xion, isn't it? Shiki is slightly hesitant to approach considering how uncharacteristic the other girl was acting at the moment, at least as far as she had ever observed with the two Xion's she had met. So... have a girl around your age with the same haircut staring at you from a little ways down the street, attempting to be covert but not really being very successful in her endeavor.]

[Maybe she should have been paying a little bit more to her surroundings and less to freaking out about them. But eventually, she does realize she's being watched.

Not a good thing. She's not supposed to interact or get spotted or really anything like that! But here she is, shellshocked in place.

And then she books it, trying to get out of her line of sight as fast as she can.]

[Wait, what?]

--Xion??

[She's gonna yell after her, only jogging a little bit as not to seem like she's booking it after the girl who was obviously frightened or... something. The only thing she could possibly think of to explain this is 'new arrival', but she wouldn't know until Xion stopped running.]

[poppetstrings]

[Xion stumbles mid-step, loosing her footing as her name is called by a complete stranger. Naturally, she hits the ground face first, though she tries to get up rather quickly.]

[nyantan]

[That stumble is enough time for Shiki to catch up with the girl, grabbing her gently by the shoulder to try to get her to calm down and stay put.]

Xion, it's okay!

[Er, wait-- if she was so keen on running, her knowing her name probably wasn't helping at all. Maybe a little nugget of information would help out a bit?]

It's okay, I know Roxas and Axel.

[That... finally gets her to stop, though judging by her body language, she's not really too sure of what she's doing by not running. In fact, she still look ready to bolt at any moment.]

[She's silent, considering her options.]

[nyantan]

[Well, that was a start at least!]

Do you know where you are? Did you just get here?

[Hopefully she'd be able to get her caught up with everything and at least get herself in Xion's good books before she decided to bolt off somewhere again. After all, there were a lot of bad things waiting around every corner during the 13th hour, and being caught up in all of that unawares could be potentially deadly.]

[Weakly, Xion nods.

Maybe it's okay if she just... doesn't physically talk? Would that still get her in trouble?]

[nyantan]

You know where you are or you only just got here...?

[She didn't know too much about Xion's homeworld besides what she glimpsed from Traverse Town, so she wasn't really sure how to handle this quiet and fearful version of her.]

[poppetstrings]

[Oh.

Questions that she needs to speak for. Why this. Why now. Why her.]

I know where I am.

[nyantan]

...You do?

[She doesn't remember anyone ever mentioning two Xions being in the city, though she knew there were doubles of quite a few of their group. Uh...]

Where are we, then?

[poppetstrings]

[Okay, so maybe lying wasn't the best course of action.

She looks around, hoping to maybe catch the name of a street, or anything she can use to say her location.]

[nyantan]

...This place is called Hinoto-Ri.

[She gives her a sympathetic smile, brushing some of her hair back behind her ear and adjusting her grip on her basket.]

A man named Philemon brought you here. Do you remember the dream you had before you woke up here, with the butterfly?

[poppetstrings]

Yes.

[She does.

And how this stranger knows about that is... really strange. Awkward. Maybe she should run again?]

[nyantan]

We all had it before we woke up here. Do you remember what he said to you?

[poppetstrings]

Okay so... you're here because you're gonna be a hero and help save this city, and in exchange they gave you a special power called 'Persona'. Right?

[She didn't know what Xion did and didn't know, so she's just gonna speak broadly.]

This isn't the world you're from, or any worlds that may be connected to it. This is a separate place entirely, and no one from those other worlds can contact you unless they're brought here themselves. For now, the people that run this world are gonna help provide for you to live here comfortably, they have an apartment for you and it's already filled with a bunch of your stuff from home. We just gotta take you to them so you can get your ID card that has all your money, okay?

[Hopefully she wouldn't run...]

I'm Shiki Misaki, by the way. You can just call me Shiki.

No. I have to go back. I'm not supposed to be here.

[She needs to get back to The World That Never Was, and get back and report her failure again. She'd definitely be worse off if she didn't go back, that's for sure.]

Time stands still back where you're from while you're here. Once you're done with what you need to do here, you'll be able to go back home as if you were never even gone in the first place, right back to the moment you arrived from.

... So I was hit with a time spell?

[Do they even work like that? But she doesn't really feel much like trusting a complete stranger.

Who, now that she gets a better look at said stranger, looks an awful lot like her.]

It's more like time here doesn't work quite the same way it did back where everyone is originally from. Sometimes you can get the same person from two difference iterations of a universe, or from two people from the same place but are from two different points in time.

They both share the same face and the same hair colour.....

[Wait, what? That had nothing to do with anything she'd just said. Furthermore...]

...What's a Somebody?

[Sorry, Shiki. Xion's head is spinning with questions and that was just the first one off of her tongue.]

Was your heart taken?

Not that I know of... how does your heart get taken?

[She has died twice, does that count? Not to mention time shenanigans ran abundant here... but if she was some sort of something to Xion, wouldn't one of the other two have told her?]
