Ahh Hinoto-Ri. City of lights, questionable Wards, the 13th Hour and Personas. A city that requires your aid in saving it.

SCENARIO 1: GOLDEN WEEK

Tied to the trees and parts of the houses are a bunch of fish-like kites. It turns Hinoto-Ri's battle=-ravage buildings into something a little more beautiful. By now, the air outside is comfortable to walk with a small shirt.

The booths in the Scorpio ward are busy trying to sell you their trinkets and crops. Will you get a mask? Will you buy and outfit? Will you just grab a little something to eat?

SCENARIO 2: Q'S CAR Q'S CAR THE SCENARIO FOR ALL AGES
Well it's been a hell of a ride so far, but you've now found yourself somehow testing one of Q's vehicles.

'Oh, and do try to bring it back in one piece' he said. What are all these buttons again?!

SCENARIO 3: CHERRY BLOSSOMS


By now all of the cheery trees in Hinoto-Ri are in full bloom. And what a beautiful sight it is! The smell is heavenly and couples and families hurry to the park to be able to secure a place under one of them to be able to enjoy a picnic together.

What a perfect time to arrive in the city!

SCENARIO 4: AN ENEMY APPROACHES! COMMAND?!
13th hour. Although technically the 25th of each day, it is the time when this world seems to change, the entire city turning a shade of dark red, demons coming out, buildings shifting and dangers lurking at every corner.

But it's your job to make this safer. Just be careful of what you run into...



...this is rather confusing. But you've learned not to think that something you see is exactly as it might be. It could be far more dangerous and deadly than it lets on...

SCENARIO 5: THIS IS JUST AN ARRIVAL PROMPT
You've arrived into Hinoto-Ri! And wow, the weather is warming right now. Like an early hot breeze in spring. At least it makes you feel more at ease...unless you came here prepared for terrible weather. Sorry! Maybe if you can find someone who knows exactly what is happening, you'll be able to comfirm that it wasn't just a dream? Remember the man who said you were here as a special guest! This the city you're supposed to save, so let's find out more about it!

[First her confession -- that she's a ghost from another dimension, or something straight out of one of Laurent's books -- throws him off guard, then the demonstration of her abilities delivers the coup de grace, so to speak. He stumbles back a step, then another and another, until he trips over the exposed root of one of the cherry trees. He's on his ass and staring up at her with eyes double their normal size.]

Stay -- stay back!

Well, that's just rude. What happened to buttercups?

[She had probably brought it on herself.]

I'm not really a ghost. It's just the closest thing in your culture to a Bgztlian. We fly, we go invisible, we go through things... I mean, it took you like, five thousand years before you stopped screaming long enough to try and communicate with us.

[A short pause.]

Oh. Right.

...Well then. Guess I'll see you in five thousand years.

[Really, where was Noire's mom when someone needed her?

He sputters and scrambles backward along the dirt in an effort to get away from her, still spooked out by her...well, entire confession. That she claims to not be a ghost is irrelevant -- she's still floating and saying she can phase through things and that's just not normal.]

Just stay right where you are! You can't have my soul!

[He's too young and handsome to die?]

...Um. Wow, OK.

[Phantom Girl considers this for a few moments.]

Well. If you can't beat 'em...

[She phases out of sight; five seconds later, there is a whisper in Inigo's ear.]

Boo.

[manhandled]

[When she disappears for those brief moments, Inigo lets out a deep and calming breath.

Then promptly loses it five seconds later when he nearly leaps out of his own skin.]

Aiyeeeeee!

[phantom_envoy]

[Inigo may feel the sensation of something cold as Phantom Girl slips through his chest and out the other end with a giggle, rematerializing into view.]

Whoops. Snagged your soul there on my way out, sorry.

[Her gloved hands are clasped into a fist as if holding on to something.]

I'll just be taking this with me if you don't mind.

[...does he even still have it? Maybe. But he's freaked out and too riled up and emotional to even notice that what Phantom Girl's holding in her closed fist most likely isn't his soul.]

Golly.

You know, I'd have to think about it. The going rate on the Spectral Market for souls right now is probably enough to last me a few centuries or so.

[Seriously, are all 20th century Earthlings this gullible or just the flirty ones?]

You know. Since ghosts don't require much upkeep and all.

...Tell you what. Why don't we make a deal?

[He knows he shouldn't trust her, and yet...]

I'm new here. And you amuse me, oh soulless one.

You show me around this retro dump, and I promise I won't use your soul in any nefarious phantom sorcery that might or might not actually exist. ...Otherwise, one virgin soul, gently used, is going right to the highest bidder.

[Virgin!? WHO TOLD HER --

Oh. Well. Hmm. Her bargain sounds decent enough -- well, it would have, if she hadn't already scared him half to death. But he feels he's got no choice and, really, he's new here too, and company is company, so...]

[He shudders and squirms; he can't believe he's agreeing to this.]

Oh my god no there's no contract. ...I mean yes. I mean, whatever you want, I don't care. 'I, Phantom Girl, hereby solemnly swear on my honor as a ghost and a member of the Legion of Superheroes blah blah blah' there.

...I'm lucky I didn't take your brains; it would fetch like, a nickel.

[Seems legit.

Except it doesn't. It takes a while for his fears and nerves to settle and for the suspicion to bubble up inside of him. And if he's still got it within him to feel anything at all, then obviously she didn't take his soul...

But, as stated before: company is company. And there's nothing worse than feeling alone. Even if it meant said company would much rather spend her time scaring him and making sarcastic quips at his expense.]

Great. I'd cheer, but you'd probably think it was some sort of ghost mating cry.

[Phantom Girl holds out a golden ring in her hand.]

Put this on. It will... um. Protect you from my spooky ghost aura.

[Inigo's face goes through the motions. First curiosity, then suspicion -- because it's a ring. And where he's from, exchanging rings means something completely different and beyond just protecting from spooky ghost auras.

He takes the ring and holds it up to the light, but doesn't put it on just yet.]

Is that so?

Yup.

Cross my heart and hope to die, stick a finger in my eye.

...Oh, wait, you already think I'm dead. Eh.

[manhandled]

Yes, exactly why I have to ask: what will happen when I put this on?

[He's almost squinting now.]

Don't you have any sense of dramatic tension and wonder or did being afraid of ghosts sap your childhood of all joy?

After your display earlier, I'm a little hesitant. Just tell me.

It'd be super boring having to trudge around on the ground all day so I thought I'd liven things up a little.

...You can start screaming about being possessed and unholy powers now, I guess, though Brainy's not really unholy more than he is unreasonably asinine.

[Phantom Girl floats a few feet up into the air again.]

Standard Legion gear. I wear it more as a formality since I can 'fly' just fine on my own, but it comes in handy when I run into someone who could use a lift. ...Basically everyone here, I guess.

You mean if I were to put this on, I can levitate and move about freely in the air?

[Staring back and forth between Phantom Girl and the ring itself, his eyes widen considerably. Fascinated. Hopeful.]

Actually, I call it a flight ring because it gives you super-strength.

Just put it on and try it for yourself.

[He makes a face at her then simply slides the ring on.

And waits.
